Edit Screen (Photos)

To display the screen, click Edit in the task area, and then click Photos.

Add / Replace...

Displays the Insert Image dialog box for adding or replacing photos.

Add to Photos / Clipart...

Displays the Saving Artwork dialog box (Images) for adding photos or clipart to the library.

Edit Image

(Cut Out)

Displays the Cut Out dialog box for cutting out images.

(Trim)

Displays the Edit Image dialog box (Trim) for trimming images.

(Gradation)

Displays the Edit Image dialog box (Gradation) for applying gradation to images.

(Retouch Image)

Displays the Retouch Image dialog box for correcting image color levels.

Photos tab

Category

Select a photo category from the list. The thumbnails of templates in the selected category appear.

(View All Photos)

Displays the View All Photos dialog box for viewing all photos.

Image Search tab

Search Site

From the pull-down menu, select the stock photo service you want to use.

When you select a stock photo service name, the service logo appears.

Click a service logo to start a Web browser and display the home screen of the stock photo service site.

Important

• When using a stock photo service for the first time, you must read the license and privacy policy. To use the stock photo service, agree to them by clicking I understand.

(Search)

Enter a keyword for the image you want to search for, and then click (Search) to display the thumbnails of the images related to the keyword.

Important

• Image search supports JPEG and PNG images.

Note

• When you click (Search) with the search window empty, images recommended by the service site appear.
• When you place the cursor over a thumbnail in the search results and click (Image Information), a Web browser starts and the image information appears.
• When you switch the stock photo service with the search results displayed, a new image search will be performed based on the keyword that was entered into the search window before switching the service, and then new search results will appear.

Frames tab

Category

Select a frame category from the list. The thumbnails of templates in the selected category appear.

(View All Frames)

Displays the View All Frames dialog box for viewing all frames.

Frame Color

Displays the current frame color and basic colors. To use other colors, click Custom..., and then select a color in the displayed dialog box.

Regular color

Displays the current color or basic colors in the four-color palette.

Spot color

Displays available fluorescent colors in the four-color palette.

Important

• Fluorescent spot colors cannot be used depending on your model or paper type.
• Fluorescent spot colors cannot be used when the Edit layout with Free Layout plus checkbox is selected in the Paper Options screen.

Edit Palette...

Click to display the Edit Spot Color Palette dialog box for editing the colors that appear in the palette.

Select the four colors you want to display in the Spot color palette.
Select the color you want to edit in the palette under Current settings, and then select the color you want to display in the palette from Fluorescent spot color.

Note

• The four colors that appear in the Spot color palette are retained on the printer.
