Printer's Wireless Icon/LED Indicates Not Connected State

If the Wi-Fi icon is not displayed or is indicated as Wi-Fi off or Wi-Fi on but no connection on the printer's screen, take the following measures.

  1. Step 1 Restart the router.

When turning off the router, you will be temporarily unable to connect to the Internet, but the router will recover after the power is turned on again.

  2. Step 2 Restart the printer.

Press the power button to turn off the printer, then unplug and plug the power cord, then turn the printer on again.

  3. Step 3 Check the SSID.

Check if the networks (SSID) registered on the printer match.

  4. Step 4 Connect with the WPS button.

Connect with the WPS (Push button method).

When connecting with the WPS button, you do not need to enter the SSID and encryption key.

Although there are many cases where WPS (connection by button) is indicated with a different name by wireless router manufacturers, in some cases there is still compatibility with WPS.

Even if the first attempt fails, a connection can be established in many cases if you try again.

  5. Step 5 Switch to manual connection.

In a case where connecting by WPS is not possible, connect with the Manual connect.

If the wireless router to which you want to connect is not displayed, connecting may be possible if you directly enter the SSID in manual connection.

When entering the SSID and encryption key in manual input, you need to make sure the character strings are entered exactly the same including with respect to uppercase and lowercase letters. Check the character you entered the printer is correct.

If cannot connect, proceed to the next step.
