Customizing the Home Screen with the Remote UI
Rearrange buttons on the Home screen or change names of tabs, from a PC using the Remote UI.
Important

Administrator privileges are required to customize the Home screen.
Changing the display order of buttons
You can rearrange buttons in the Home screen, or move them to different tabs.
Note

You can also change button layout from the operation panel. To add a shortcut button, the operation panel must be used.

Log in to the Remote UI in Administrator Mode.

Select Settings/Registration.

In Preferences, select Display Settings.

In Rearrange and Configure Display Settings for Home Screen Buttons, select Edit in Button View... or Edit in List View....
To drag a button and change the display order, select Edit in Button View....
To change the display order with the button name list, select Edit in List View....

Change the button layout.
- To drag a button and change layout:

Drag the button you want to change, and release it where it is to be placed.
- To change a button with the button name list:

Click
/
for the button you want to change to move the button up/down. Click
to move the button to another tab.

Select OK.
Settings are applied.
Changing names of tabs
Change names of tabs displayed in the Home screen. Change the names of tabs using the Remote UI.

Names of tabs cannot be changed at the operation panel

Log in to the Remote UI in Administrator Mode.

Select Settings/Registration.

In Preferences, select Display Settings.

In Home Screen Tab Names, select Edit....
-
Checkmark a tab whose name you want to change, and enter the name.

Select OK.
Settings are applied.
