Registering Destinations to the Address Book using Remote UI
Register destinations to the address book. Use the Remote UI to register the destination for saving files (shared folders).
Destinations can be registered with either the operation panel or the Remote UI, but destinations that can be registered and methods for registering differ.
Important

Administrator privileges are required to register destinations using the Remote UI.

Log in to the Remote UI in Administrator Mode

Select Address Book.

Select Favorites or Coded Dial.

Select an item displayed as Not Registered.
If the Enter PIN screen appears, enter the PIN for the address book, and select OK.

In Destination Type to Register, select Email or File, and select OK.
To register where to save files (shared folders), select File.
Note-
See "Registering Groups to the Address Book" when you want to register a group.

Specify information for the destination

To register an email address
Enter the Name and Email Address.

To register where to save files (shared folders)

Enter the Name.

In Protocol, select Windows (SMB).

Enter either the computer name of the PC with the shared folder or the IP address in Host Name.
Note-
If you are using a DNS server, you can enter the host name or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) instead of a computer name or IP address.

Using "\" as a separator, enter the path to the shared folder in Folder Path.
Important-
If a folder does not already exist at the entered path, a folder with the name you entered is created the first time a file is saved there.
No folder is created and a send error occurs if the parent folder does not exist or if no privileges are held for writing to the parent folder.

If an access restriction to the shared folder is set, enter the User Name and Password.

Select OK.
The destination is registered to the address book.
