Registering Destinations to the Address Book using Operation Panel

Register destinations to the address book. Use the operation panel to register using the send log or an LDAP server.

Destinations can be registered with either the operation panel or the Remote UI, but destinations that can be registered and methods for registering differ.

Important

• The destination for saving files (shared folders) cannot be registered with the operation panel. Register these using the Remote UI.

1. In the Home screen, select Address Book.

2. Select Register Dest.

   If the Address Book PIN screen appears, enter the PIN, and select Apply.

3. In Destination Type, select Email.

   Note

   • See "Registering Groups to the Address Book" when you want to register a group.

4. Specify information for the destination

   • To enter directly

     Enter the Name and Email Address.

   • To enter by recalling the send log

     Enter the Name, then select the destination from TX Job Log.

     Note

     • In addition to recalling the send log from the address book, you can also register destinations to the address book from the scan send log.

       • Checking the Send and Save Status and Log of Scanned Data

   • To enter by searching an LDAP server

     Select the LDAP server from LDAP Server, then specify search conditions to select a matching user.

     • If an authentication screen appears, enter the user name and password for the printer registered to the LDAP server.

5. From Register As, select either Favorites or Coded Dial.

   If you selected Coded Dial, either select an unregistered number, or press Use Numeric Keys and enter a 3-digit Coded Dial code.

6. Select Apply.

   The destination is registered to the address book.
