Setting Detailed Information in a Mail Server from the Remote UI
Set email server information for sending scan data by email, from a PC using the Remote UI. You can also set pre-send POP authentication, SMTP authentication, and encrypted communication.
Important

Administrator privileges are required to set email server information.

If the email server's port number is a number other than SMTP "25" or POP3 "110", the port number setting must be changed.

Log in to the Remote UI in Administrator Mode

Select Settings/Registration.

In Function Settings, select TX Settings.

Select Email Settings.

Select Edit....

Enter basic email server information
-
SMTP Server
Enter the SMTP server name for sending email (host name or IP address) in half-width alphanumerics.

Email Address
Enter the printer's email address in half-width alphanumerics.

POP Server
To use pre-send POP authentication (POP before SMTP), enter the POP3 server name (host name or IP address) in half-width alphanumerics.

User Name
Enter the user name for POP3 server authentication in half-width alphanumerics.

Set/Change Password
To use a password for POP3 server authentication, checkmark this item, and enter the password in half-width alphanumerics or symbols.

According to your usage environment, set the authentication and encryption for sending email.

Use POP Authentication Before Sending
Checkmark this item to use pre-send POP authentication (POP before SMTP).

Use APOP Authentication
Checkmark this item to use APOP authentication for encrypting your password at authentication.

Use SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)
Checkmark this item to use SMTP authentication, and enter the user name for SMTP authentication in half-width alphanumerics. To use a user password for authentication, checkmark Set/Change Password, and enter the password in half-width alphanumerics.

Use TLS for SMTP TX and Use TLS for POP
Checkmark this item to encrypt communication with the email server. Make settings to verify credentials for TLS encrypted communication, or to add a CN (Common Name) to verification items as required.

Select OK.
Note-
You can check if communication is possible with the email server with the set information by using Check SMTP Connection and Check POP Connection.

Restart the printer.
Settings are applied.
