Paper Jams in a Paper Source

Check the paper jam location on the screen, and follow the procedure below to remove the paper.
Confirm before handling
Before starting the operation to clear paper jams, confirm that the covers and paper drawers of the machine and optional equipment are closed.

Paper Jams in the Multi-Purpose Tray

Remove the jammed paper in the multi-purpose tray.

Remove any paper loaded on the multi-purpose tray.

Remove the jammed paper.

Close the tray.

Clearing Paper Jams in Paper Drawers 1

Check whether paper is jammed in the paper drawer 1.

Open the paper drawer 1.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Push the paper drawer 1 in until it clicks.
When closing the paper drawer, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.

Clearing Paper Jams in Paper Drawers 2

Check whether paper is jammed in the side cover of the standard paper drawer.

Open the side cover of the standard paper drawer.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Gently close the side cover of the standard paper drawer until it clicks.

Check whether paper is jammed in the paper drawer 2.

Open the paper drawer 2.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Push the paper drawer 2 in until it clicks.

Check whether paper is jammed in the side cover of the cassette feeding unit.

Open the side cover of the cassette feeding unit.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Gently close the side cover of the cassette feeding unit it clicks.

Check whether paper is jammed in the paper drawers 3 and 4.

Open the paper drawer.
