Timer/Energy Settings

This item is displayed when Menu then Preferences is selected in the Home screen.

If this setting is changed, power consumption may increase.

• Current Date/Time Settings

  Set the date and time on the printer. The date and time set here become the reference for functions that use data and time information.

  • Before setting, check that the time zone is set correctly.

  Set the time zone (UTC) according to the region where the printer is located. The UTC time is initially set according to the region from where the printer is shipped, and so changing the time zone is not normally required.

  • If the time zone is changed, Current Date/Time Settings is changed automatically.

• Date Format

  Set the order that the year (Western calendar) / month / date appear in.

• Time Format

  Set the display format for the time.

• Auto Reset Time

  Auto Reset Time is what causes any uncompleted user operation to be cleared automatically, if a certain time elapses with no operation on the operation panel.

  Set whether Auto Reset Time runs. If set to run, you can also set the time that elapses before it runs.

  Note

  • Depending on the status of the printer, Auto Reset Time may not run.

    • The error lamp on the operation panel is flashing

    • The Menu screen or an error message appears on the operation panel

    • The printer is processing (a job is printing, etc.)

  • You can change the screen that is displayed immediately after Auto Reset Time runs.

  Set the screen that is displayed immediately after Auto Reset Time runs. To display a specified screen, set this to Default Function. The screen displayed is specified with Default Screen After Startup/Restoration.

  To display the screen of the function that was being used before Auto Reset Time ran, set it to Selected Function.

• Auto Shutdown Time

  Set the time until the printer automatically shuts down.

  • In some regions, according to network connection conditions, the printer may shut down earlier that the set time.

• Auto Sleep Time

  Set the time until the printer automatically enters sleep mode. For effective energy savings, it is recommended to use the printer with its initial settings.

• Auto Sleep Daily Timer

  Set the printer to automatically enter sleep mode at a specified time.

• Sleep Mode Exit Time Settings

  Set the printer to automatically exit sleep mode at a specified time.
