Images have whited out or blacked in areas in copy/scan

  1. Check 1 Does the original have bright or dark areas?

    For an original with bright areas, setting Enhance White toward - may improve whited out areas of an image.

    For an original with dark areas, setting Enhance Black toward - may improve blacked in areas of an image.

  2. Check 2 Are you copying/scanning an original that has highlighter pen marking in it?

    If the color of the highlighter pen is faint or indiscernible, changing Original Type to Drawing/Map or Poster/Photo may improve the issue.

    If the color of the highlighter pen is dull, setting Saturation toward + may improve the issue.
