Cause

Possible causes include the following.

• The original became jammed in the scanner during scanning.
• The original feed slot cover became closed while the original was feeding.
• A non-supported original size or thickness was loaded.

What to Do

Use the following steps to remove the original and scan it again.

1. Removing the original from the scanning unit.

   • Clearing a jammed original

2. Loading originals.

   • Loading Originals in the Scanning Unit

• Do not close the original feed slot cover while the original is feeding.
