Cleaning Inside the Printer

Clean the inside of the printer. If the printed document is dirty, cleaning the inside of the printer may improve print results.

Important

• Cleaning cannot be performed if there is paper in the paper output tray. Remove the paper.

• If there is ink on the paper output tray, wipe off the ink to clean it.

Paper to Prepare

Rolls

Paper that can be output from the top of the printer.

1. Load paper.

   • Loading Rolls in the Printer

2. Tap Maintenance on HOME screen.

   • Home Screen Menu Composition

   The Maintenance screen appears.

3. Tap Top output cleaning.

   A confirmation message appears.

4. Tap Yes.

   Cleaning starts.

   When the HOME screen appears on the touch screen, cleaning is complete. Remove the output paper after the HOME screen appears.

   Important

   • Do not open the top cover or touch the output paper on the paper output tray during cleaning. Cleaning may not be performed and dirt may remain or paper jams may occur.

   • After cleaning, be sure to remove the paper from the paper output tray.
