Removing Printed Documents from the Top Delivery Tray

You can remove the printed documents loaded on the top delivery tray by the following procedure.

Important

  • When removing printed documents on the top delivery tray, it is recommended that you remove all printed documents. If you return the removed printed documents to the top delivery tray, the paper may become jammed.

  • Depending on the paper type, the default output destination is set to the top. If you are concerned about scratches or stains on the printed documents output on the top, it is recommend that you switch the output destination to the front.

  • Roll paper up to 55.0 in. (1397.0 mm) in length can be collected in the top delivery tray.

Note

  • Printed documents are loaded with the printed side down.

Removing Printed Documents by Opening the Top Cover

The wider outlet makes it easier to remove printed documents. It is recommended that you use this procedure to remove 10 or more printed documents, large printed documents, and easily scratched printed documents.

  1. Open top cover.

  2. Hold both ends of the printed document and remove the printed document from the top delivery tray.

    Remove all printed documents.

  3. Close top cover.

Removing Printed Documents from between the Guide Arms

You can remove the printed documents quickly as you are not required to open the top cover.

  1. Put your hands in the opening of the top cover and hold both ends of the printed documents.

  2. Pull out the printed documents lifting the guide arms on the back of the printed documents.

  3. Pull it upwards and remove the printed documents from the top delivery tray.

    Remove all printed documents.

    Important

    • When removing printed documents, the guide arms and the printed surface may rub against each other depending on the pulling direction. For fragile paper types and large printed documents, it is recommended that you open the top cover and remove the documents.

    • The guide arms only move a certain amount. Do not force the arms as this may damage them.
