Two-Sided Copying
When you select 2-sided for 2-sidedPrintSetting in Standard copy, you can copy two original pages onto the both sides of a single sheet of paper.
In addition, when you select Duplex for ADF duplex scan, you can perform duplex scanning.

You can also directly select ADF (Auto Document Feeder) duplex scan or two-sided print by selecting the layout in the Copy standby screen.
Select Settings in the Copy Standby screen to display the print settings screen, and specify where to load originals or copy settings according to the two-sided copying method.

When you select Advanced after selecting Duplex for ADF duplex scan, you can select the orientation and the stapling side of the original.

When you select Advanced after selecting 2-sided for 2-sidedPrintSetting, you can select the orientation of originals and the stapling side of paper. Also, you can select whether to display the preview screen when you load the original on the platen. When you load documents in the ADF, the preview screen is not displayed.

When the stapling sides specified for Duplex and 2-sided are different, the documents are copied so that the page is flipped vertically.

If Device memory is full. Cannot continue process. appears on the touch screen when scanning, set Print qlty to Standard and try copying again. If the problem is not resolved, set Print qlty to Draft and try copying again.

Two-sided copy setting can be used in combination with 2-on-1 copy or 4-on-1 copy.

If you are copying in black & white, print intensity of the Two-sided copy may differ from that of a single-sided copy.
When Loading Originals on Platen:

Before scanning:
When you are using the preview screen, the screen below is displayed before copying starts so that you can check the orientation.

A: Select to rotate the original by 180 degrees.

B: Select to start scanning the original.

C: Select to rescan the original.

After scanning:
The screen below appears after scanning each sheet of original.

A: Select to start scanning the original.
Remove the sheet of original from the platen after scanning and load the next sheet on the platen and select Scan.

B: Select to start copying the original already scanned.
The printer starts scanning of the second sheet of original and coping.

You can add the copying job while printing.

When Loading Two-sided Documents in ADF:
After scanning of the front sides of the document pages is finished, an on-screen guide showing how to load the back sides of the document pages appears.
Remove the documents from the document output slot, load them in the document tray without changing their orientation, and then select Scan. The printer starts scanning the back sides of the document pages.
