Disabling Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program

Computer, Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY, and printer control Inkjet Extended Survey Program function separately. To disable the function, change settings from the computer, Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY, and printer respectively, or uninstall Inkjet Extended Survey Program.

Important

  • Make sure the printer is connected to Internet before disabling Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.
  • If you perform settings to stop sending information related to Extended Survey Program, all pieces of sent information registered to the printer will be removed. You cannot use services which Canon IJ Cloud Print Service offers, as information related to the service will also be removed.
  • In some case, it takes time for your choice to be reflected in your Canon product.
  • If you uninstall Extended Survey Program, stop sending information on the printer in advance, and proceed to uninstalling procedure.

To Change Settings on the Printer:

Use the Setup CD-ROM to change settings on the printer.

  • For Windows:

    1. Start up MSETUP4.EXE on Setup CD-ROM.

    2. Click Start Setup.

      Proceed the setup procedure according to the instructions on the screen until the license agreement screen of Extended Survey Program appears.

    3. Click Do not agree on license agreement screen of Extended Survey Program.

      The warning screen appears.

    4. Click OK on displayed screen.

    5. Proceed setup procedure according to instructions on screen until Start Setup appears.

    6. Click Exit.

  • For macOS:

    Start setup on the web page to change settings.

To Change Settings on Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY:

  1. Start up Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY.

  2. Tap icon on upper right.

  3. Tap About.

  4. Tap Extended Survey.

  5. Check displayed message and tap Do not agree.

    Tap Agree to enable Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

To Change Settings on Windows:

  1. Select Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

    Note

    • If the User Account Control screen appears, select Continue.

  2. Select Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program, then select Uninstall/Change.

  3. Select Yes when the confirmation message appears.

  4. When uninstallation is complete, select OK.

    If you want to enable Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program, install it again.

Note

  • When the message prompting you to restart your computer appears, select OK to restart your computer.

To Change Settings on macOS:

  1. Select Applications from Go menu of Finder, double-click the Canon Utilities folder and Inkjet Extended Survey Program folder.

  2. Double-click Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program icon.

  3. Click Turn off to stop Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

    Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program is disabled.

    Clicking Turn on resumes Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.
