Setting a Remote UI Password
Set a password for logging in to the Remote UI with General User Mode.
In General User Mode, available operations are limited to functionality such as checking usage/logs, canceling printing, and making changes to some settings.
Use the operation panel or the Remote UI to do this.
Operation panel

In the Home screen, select Menu.

Select Management Settings.
If a login screen appears, enter the Administrator ID and Administrator PIN, and select Login.

Select Remote UI Settings/Update Firmware.

Select Remote UI Settings.

Select Use Password.

Select On.

Enter the password, and select Apply.

Enter the same password, and select Apply.
Remote UI
-
Log in to the Remote UI in Administrator Mode.

Select Settings/Registration.

In Management Settings, select License/Other.

Select Remote UI Settings.

Select Edit....
-
Checkmark Use Password and Set/Change Password, set a password, and select OK.
