Disabling Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program

Important

  • Make sure the printer is connected to Internet before disabling Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

Computer, printer, and Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY control Inkjet Extended Survey Program function separately. To disable the function completely, change settings from computer, printer, and Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY.

To Disable from Computer

  • For Windows:

    1. Log in using an account with administrator privileges.

    2. Make the following settings.

      • In Windows 10, right-click Start button and select Programs and Features.

      • In Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, select Control Panel from Settings charm on Desktop > Programs > Programs and Features.

      • In Windows 7, or Windows Vista, select Start menu > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

      Note

      • A confirmation/warning dialog box may appear when installing, uninstalling or starting up software.

        This dialog box appears when administrative rights are required to perform a task.

        If you are logged in on an account with administrator privileges, follow the on-screen instructions.

    3. Select Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

    4. Select Uninstall.

      If you select Yes after you have followed the on-screen instructions, the program is uninstalled.

      If you want to enable Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program, install it again.

  • For Mac OS:

    1. Select Applications from Go menu of Finder, double-click the Canon Utilities folder and Inkjet Extended Survey Program folder.

    2. Double-click Canon Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program icon.

    3. Click Turn off button to stop Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

      Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program is disabled.

      Clicking Turn on button resumes Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

To Disable from Operation Panel

  1. Make sure printer is turned on.

  2. Press Setup button.

    The Setup menu screen appears.

  3. Select Device settings and press OK button.

  4. Select Dev. user settings and press OK button.

  5. Select Device info sending and press OK button.

  6. Select OFF and press OK button.

    Select ON to enable Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.

To Disable from Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY

  1. Start up Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY.

  2. Tap icon on upper right.

  3. Tap About.

  4. Tap Extended Survey.

  5. Check displayed message and tap Do not agree.

    Tap Agree to enable Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax Extended Survey Program.
