Cause

Possible causes include the following.

• The original became jammed in the scanner during scanning.
• A printer error has occurred.

What to Do

Use the following steps to remove the original and turn off the power.

• Clearing a jammed original

Wait a moment and turn the power back on.

If the error appears again, make a note of the detailed error code (ECxx-xxxx) that appears on the touch screen, and then contact a Canon customer service center.
