Troubleshooting Canon Cloud Printing Center

If an app cannot be installed

Check the country or region where the printer was purchased.
If the printer is taken outside the country or region where it was purchased, apps cannot be installed.

If You Are Using iP110 series

Check the country or region where the printer was purchased.
If you take the printer outside the country or region where you purchased it, you may not be able to install certain apps.
You can continue to use apps that are already installed, as long as the apps support the country or region you are moving to.

If the registered app is not in the Apps list

Check the display language of Canon Cloud Printing Center.
If the display language is switched to a language that does not support an app, the app will not be displayed in the apps list but will continue to be registered.
If you switch back to the target language of the app, it will be displayed in the apps list and you will be able to start, register, or unregister the app.

If the information is not updated when you press the update button

Because the Properties screen requires network connection with this product, the information may not be reflected immediately. Please wait awhile, and then try updating the information again.
If the information is still not updated, then check that the product is connected to the Internet.

If you do not receive the registration e-mail

You may have entered a different e-mail address during the user registration of Canon Cloud Printing Center.
Unregister from the service using the correct method for the model you are using, and start over the Canon Cloud Printing Center user registration process from the beginning.

If your model has a color screen

Delete the service registration using either of the following procedures.

  • From the printer screen, select -> Web service setup (or Settings -> Web service setup) -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.
  • From the printer screen, select Setup ( Various settings) -> Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.

If your model has a monochrome screen, and can print the URL of the authentication site

Delete the service registration using either of the following procedures.

  • On the printer operation panel, select the OK button, or select , and then select Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.
  • On the printer operation panel, select the Setup button, and then select Web service setup -> Connection setup -> CloudPrintingCtr -> Delete from service.

Note

If your model has no screen/If your model has a monochrome screen, and cannot print the URL of the authentication site

Displaying Printer Information -> Cloud Printing Center setup (or Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup) -> Delete from this service to delete the service registration.
To display printer information, go to the Online Manual home page, and see "Checking Printer Information" or "Change Settings from the Web Browser" for your model.

If you cannot print

If you cannot print, check and perform the following using the correct method for the model you are using.
If printing is still not possible even after you perform the action described below, use the printer driver from your computer to perform the print job and check whether the data can be printed normally on the printer.
If printing cannot be performed, refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions" or "Troubleshooting" from the Home of the Online Manual.

Note

  • With a wireless LAN connection, after the printer is turned on, it may take several minutes before communication is possible. Check that your printer is connected to the wireless network, and wait a while before you start printing.
  • If the printer is not turned on or is not connected to the Internet, and consequently a print job is not processed within 24 hours after it was submitted, the print job is automatically canceled. If this happens, check the printer power and the Internet connection, and then re-submit the print job.

If your model has a color screen

  • Check that the printer is connected to the Internet.
  • Check that the printer is connected to a LAN and the LAN environment is connected to the Internet.
  • Check that no error message is displayed on the printer's screen.
  • If printing does not start even after waiting a while, perform either of the following procedures: Repeat the same procedure until printing starts.
    • From the printer screen, select -> Web service inquiry -> Print from Canon server.
    • From the printer screen, select -> Settings -> Start Cloud print -> Print from Canon server.
    • From the printer screen, select Setup ( Various settings) -> Web service inquiry.

If your model has a monochrome screen, and can print the URL of the authentication site

  • Check that the printer is connected to the Internet.
  • Check that the printer is connected to a LAN and the LAN environment is connected to the Internet.
  • Check that no error message is displayed on the printer's screen.
  • If printing does not start even after waiting a while, perform one of the following procedures. Repeat the same procedure until printing starts.
    • On the printer operation panel, select the OK button, or select , and then select Web service inquiry -> Print from Canon server.
    • On the printer operation panel, select the Setup button, and then select Web service inquiry.

Note

If your model has no screen/If your model has a monochrome screen, and cannot print the URL of the authentication site

  • Check that the printer is connected to the Internet.
  • Check that the printer is connected to a LAN and the LAN environment is connected to the Internet.
  • If printing does not start even after you wait awhile, first turn off the printer, and then turn it back on again.
  • If you are using a monochrome inkjet printer and the Grayscale setting is off, turn it on, and then try printing again.

Printing starts on its own even if you do not do anything

A third party may be able to illegally use the Canon Cloud Printing Center services.
Unregister from the service using the correct method for the model you are using, and start over the Canon Cloud Printing Center user registration process from the beginning.

If your model has a color screen

Delete the service registration using either of the following procedures.

  • From the printer screen, select -> Web service setup (or Settings -> Web service setup) -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.
  • From the printer screen, select Setup ( Various settings) -> Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.

If your model has a monochrome screen, and can print the URL of the authentication site

Delete the service registration using either of the following procedures.

  • On the printer operation panel, select the OK button, or select , and then select Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Delete from this service.
  • On the printer operation panel, select the Setup button, and then select Web service setup -> Connection setup -> CloudPrintingCtr -> Delete from service.

If your model has no screen/If your model has a monochrome screen, and cannot print the URL of the authentication site

Displaying Printer Information -> Cloud Printing Center setup (or Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup) -> Delete from this service to delete the service registration.
To display printer information, go to the Online Manual home page, and see "Checking Printer Information" or "Change Settings from the Web Browser" for your model.

If you are unable to log in correctly even after entering the correct password in iOS or Mac

If you are using iOS or Mac and the password contains the ¥ or ₩ symbol, enter a backslash instead. For instructions on entering a backslash, see the OS help.

If you receive the automatic unregistration email

After registering to Canon Cloud Printing Center, if you do not use the service for 400 days, you will be automatically unregistered.
If you want to use the service again, create a new account.
