Print the Printer registration ID and register

Follow the steps below to print the authentication URL and Printer registration ID from the printer operation panel, and then register the printer.

  1. Check that the printer is connected to the Internet

    To use this function, you must connect this printer to the Internet.

  2. Display the printer registration confirmation screen

    The operation differs depending on whether the printer screen is a color screen or a monochrome screen.

    3. If you are using a printer with a color screen

    Follow one of the steps below to perform the operation.

    • From the printer screen , go to Web service setup (or Settings -> Web service setup) -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Register with this service, and then select Yes on the registration confirmation screen.
    • From the printer screen, go to Setup (or Various Settings -> Web service setup) -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Register with this service, and then select Yes on the registration confirmation screen.

    If you are using a printer with a monochrome screen

    Follow one of the steps below to perform the operation.

    • Press the OK button on the printer operation panel, or select , and then go to Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> Cloud Printing Center setup -> Register with this service, and then select Yes on the registration confirmation screen.
    • Press the Setup button on the printer operation panel, and then go to Web service setup -> Web service connection setup -> CloudPrintingCtr -> Register with this service, and then select Yes on the registration confirmation screen.

  3. Select the display language for printer settings

  4. Follow the instructions on the screen and print the authentication URL and the Printer registration ID

    If you set A4-sized plain paper and select OK, the authentication URL and the Printer registration ID will be printed.

  5. Enter the Printer registration ID

    Open the app you want to use, and enter the Printer registration ID that was issued.

  6. Register your printer

    Follow the instructions on the screen and register your printer.

Important

  • The Printer registration ID is valid for one hour after being issued. Complete the registration process within 1 hour.
