Updating Printer Firmware

Important

Make sure the printer is connected to Internet before updating printer firmware.
Do not turn off the printer while the update is in progress.
In the printer setup at the start of use, if you set A firmware update is available. Do you want to update now? to ON, it will be automatically updated even if the administrator mode is enabled after that.
You cannot start the firmware update under the following conditions:
- While the printer is sending or receiving a fax
- When the unsent faxes are stored in the printer's memory

Follow the procedure below.

Updating Printer Firmware from Operation Panel

Check that printer is turned on.
- Turning the Printer On and Off
Select (Setup) on HOME screen.
- Using Touch Screen
The setup menu screen appears.

Note
- If User management settings is enabled, the user selection screen is displayed before the HOME screen is displayed.
Select Printer settings.
Select Firmware update.
Select Install update.
Check displayed message and select Yes.
Check displayed message and select Start update.

Update starts.

Finishing update turns off the printer and it turns on again.
Check displayed message and select OK.

Display printer status on web browser.

Select Firmware update.
Select Install update.
Check displayed message and select Update.

Update starts and returns to the menu screen when update is completed.
