Migrating Printer's Setting

Migrates the printer settings to another one of the same model.

This operation is available either from the Remote UI or from the operation panel using a USB flash drive.

Note

  • The printers must be running the same firmware version. The target data to be migrated is fixed.

Using Remote UI

  1. Exporting settings

    1. Start up Remote UI.

    2. Select Printer settings.

    3. Select Import/Export printer settings.

    4. Select Export printer settings.

    5. Enter password and select OK.

  2. Importing settings

    1. Start up Remote UI

    2. Select Printer settings.

    3. Select Import/Export printer settings.

    4. Select Import printer settings.

    5. Select a file to import.

    6. Enter password and select OK.

Using USB Flash Drive

  1. Exporting settings

    1. Insert USB flash drive into the USB flash drive connector.

    2. Select Printer settings on HOME screen.

    3. Select Import/export settings.

      If you specify the administrator password, enter the password.

    4. Select Export.

    5. Enter password and select Apply.

    6. Enter password again.

  2. Importing settings

    1. Insert a USB flash drive to USB flash drive port.

    2. Select Printer settings on HOME screen.

    3. Select Import/export settings.

      If you specify the administrator password, enter the password.

    4. Select Import.

    5. Enter password and select OK.
