Specifying Mail Setting for Sending Scanned Data
You can specify the mail settings to send the scanned data from printer via e-mail.
This section describes the mail settings such as the title of e-mail, initial body text, and file size.
Note

These functions can be set only when you are logged in administrator mode.

To send the scanned data from printer via e-mail and to register the e-mail address of the destination, see below.

Specify the mail server settings in advance.

Select Printer settings.
The menus are displayed.

Select Scan(Email direct from device).

Select E-mail transmission settings.
The setting items for mail setting are displayed.

Specify mail settings.
Specify the following items.

Subject
Enter the title of the e-mail up to 20 alphanumeric characters.
Note-
The title that you specify here is the initial title when sending scan data. You can change the title when sending scan data using the printer's operation panel.

Body text
Enter the body text of the e-mail up to 80 alphanumeric characters.

Maximum attachment size
Select a maximum file size of the scan data that can be sent.

After specifying mail settings, select OK.
The setting operation is completed.
