Troubleshooting: If Telephone line type Screen Appears

The telephone line type may not be identified correctly when connection is made to an ADSL line, optical line, or control device such as a PBX (private branch exchange).
Follow the steps below to set the same line type (Touch tone, Rotary pulse 20 PPS, or Rotary pulse 10 PPS) as you are subscribed to.

  1. Select whether you hear beeps/boops (signal tones) when you dial from your telephone.

    If you hear signal tones:

    Select Touch tone, and then press the OK button.

    If you do not hear signal tones:

    Make sure Rotary pulse is selected, and then press OK button and proceed to Step 2.

  2. Select same dial speed as line type you are subscribed to (Rotary pulse only).

    20 PPS:

    Make sure 20 PPS is selected, and then press OK button.

    Select dial speed screen: Select 20 PPS

    10 PPS:

    Select 10 PPS, and then press OK button.

    Select dial speed screen: Select 10 PPS
