The phone cord is connected correctly.

Next, perform auto identification of the telephone line type.

1. Tap Start.

   
   • When Cannot identify the telephone line type. is displayed, see here
   • When Telephone line is busy. is displayed, see here

2. Tap Yes (FAX and voice).

   

3. Check the specified settings, then tap OK.
