Troubleshooting: If Cannot identify the telephone line type. Screen Appears

The telephone line type may not be identified correctly when connection is made to an optical line or a control device such as a PBX (private branch exchange).
Follow the steps below to set the same line type (Touch tone, Rotary pulse 20 PPS, or Rotary pulse 10 PPS) as you are subscribed to.

  1. Tap OK.

    Error screen: Cannot identify the telephone line type. Select the telephone line type in the next screen.
  2. Select whether you hear beeps/boops (signal tones) when you dial from your telephone.

    If you hear signal tones:

    Tap Signal tones sound (tone dialing).

    If you do not hear signal tones:

    Tap Other tones sound (pulse dialing), and then proceed to Step 3.

    Easy setup screen: Do you hear signal tones when you dial from your telephone?
  3. Tap same dial speed as line type you are subscribed to (Rotary pulse only).

    Easy setup screen: Please select the same type as telephone which you use.
