RX start time

RX start time is a period of time for which to ring the telephone before starting to receive a fax automatically. It is set to 15 seconds by default.

If you mainly receive faxes and seldom receive voice calls

Set a time between 10 to 15 seconds.
(For a short ring time.)
If you want to receive faxes automatically but also want to answer voice calls

Set a time longer than 15 seconds (long enough to answer a voice call).
If you want to receive faxes automatically and use an answering machine for voice calls

Set a time longer than 15 seconds.
Set the greeting on the answering machine to 15 seconds or less.
Note: Make a call from another telephone such as a mobile phone to check if the message is recorded properly on the answering machine.
