Scanning with Chromebook

The following procedure is an example for Chrome OS 90.

  1. Connect printer and Chromebook.

    Scanning over a Network

    Check that the printer and Chromebook are connected to the same network.

    If the printer is not connected to the network, using a smartphone, Windows, or Mac, follow the steps below to connect the printer to the network.

    1. From smartphone, Windows, or Mac, access the following page.

      https://ij.start.canon

    2. Select Set Up, and then follow on-screen instructions to complete setup.

    Scanning with a USB Connection

    Connect the printer and Chromebook with a USB cable.

  2. Scan.

    1. Click (Time) at the bottom right.

    2. Click (Settings).

    3. In the Settings screen, click Advanced, and then select Print and scan.

    4. Click Scan.

      Printer search starts; when complete, the scan window opens.

    5. Place item, specify scan settings, and then scan.

    • You can also scan from the Canon app Canon PRINT.

      1. Check printer's network connection.

        Check that the printer and Chromebook are connected to the same network.

      2. Install and start Canon PRINT.

      3. Place item.
      4. Tap Scan.
      5. Check settings and tap Scan.
