Troubleshooting -WEP-

"The device may not be able to connect to the network." Appears

  1. Check1 Check the wireless router's settings.

    If the wireless router's DHCP function is off, turn it on or specify the printer's IP address (IPv4 only), and then redo the wireless connection settings. Also, make sure the selected WEP key number and entered password are correct.

 

When specifying the IP address of the printer

Specify the printer's IP address as follows.

  1. Press the Back button (A) until the following screen appears.

  2. Press the OK button.
  3. Use the Up or Down button to select Device settings and press the OK button.
  4. Select LAN settings and press the OK button.
  5. Select Wi-Fi and press the OK button.
  6. Select Advanced and press the OK button.
  7. Select TCP/IP settings and press the OK button.
  8. Select IPv4 and press the OK button.
  9. Select Yes and press the OK button.
  10. Select IP address and press the OK button.
  11. Select Manual setup and press the OK button.

Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with setup.

When the setup is complete, set up Wi-Fi again.

  1. Check2 When the DHCP function is active, enter wireless connection settings of the wireless router directly.

  2. Check3 When there is no problem with the WEP key number and password, enter the wireless router name directly.
