Troubleshooting -WPA/WPA2-

"Failed to connect to the wireless router <See manual>" Appears

  1. Check1 Check your wireless router's network name (SSID) and password, including case sensitivity.

Network names (SSIDs) differ between the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies.

If you still cannot connect even after entering the password correctly, write down or take note of the network name (SSID) described on the wireless router, and then check the name, including case sensitivity.

Check the above and press the OK button to return to the Select router screen, and then select the correct network name (SSID).

After that, return to the previous page, enter the correct password in the printer screen, and then press the OK button.

When there is no problem with password

  1. Check2 Restart the printer, and then redo the connection.

  2. Check3 Check the wireless router's security protocol (encryption method) settings.

If the wireless router is set to communicate using the IEEE802.11n standard only and the security protocol (encryption method) is set to TKIP, change the communication standard, and then redo the Wi-Fi settings.

If the encryption standard is set to TKIP, IEEE802.11n cannot be used as the communication standard.

  3. Check4 Check the wireless router's settings.

If the wireless router's DHCP function is off or MAC address filtering is enabled, you need to change the wireless router's settings. After changing, redo the Wi-Fi settings.

For details on checking or changing the wireless router settings, see the wireless router manual or contact its manufacturer.

  4. Check5 Reset the error, and then redo the printer setup.
