Cause

Cannot print. A subscription ink cartridge was installed when the subscription service contract was not active.

Important

  • Subscription ink cartridges cannot be used without a valid subscription.
  • If you have canceled your subscription please purchase ink from a retailer and do not use subscription ink cartridges.

What to Do

Press the printer's Stop button to cancel printing.

Check the status of your subscription from the Canon homepage.

If it has been cancelled or is otherwise inactive and you wish to continue your contract, reactivate your subscription.
