Port Number Allocation

Predetermined port numbers are allocated to each protocol used for communication with external devices. Be aware that a firewall blocking a port can affect printer operation.

In the case of printers equipped with a security policy function, the use of certain communication protocols can be prohibited according to the security policy. The table below shows the communication protocols and their assigned port numbers.Note that some communication protocols may not be supported depending on the model.

For communication protocols that can be restricted, refer to Security Policy Setting Items.

Initial value *: This indicates the default setting for enabling/disabling the communication protocol. "-" indicates that there is no setting for enabling/disabling.
