Scanning Originals Larger than the Platen (Image Stitch)
You can scan the left and right halves of an item larger than the platen and combine them back into one image. Items up to approximately twice as large as the platen are supported.
Note
- The following explains how to scan from the item to be placed on the left side.

To specify the item type, resolution, and PDF settings, click Settings..., and then set each item in the Settings (Scanning from a Computer) dialog box.
Note
- Once settings are made in the Settings (Scan and Stitch) dialog box, the same settings can be used for scanning from the next time.
- In the Settings (Scan and Stitch) dialog box, set image processing settings such as show-through reduction and moire pattern reduction, set where to save the scanned images, and more, as needed.
When setting is completed, click OK.

Click Stitch.
The Image Stitch window appears.

In Select Output Size, select an output size according to the paper size.

Make sure that Scan from Left is selected in Scan Direction.

Place the item that is to be displayed on the left side of the screen face-down on the platen.

Click Start Scanning Image 1.
The first item is scanned and appears in 1.
Note
- To cancel the scan, click Cancel.

Place the item that is to be displayed on the right side of the screen face-down on the platen.

Click Start Scanning Image 2.
The second item is scanned and appears in 2.

- To cancel the scan, click Cancel.

Adjust the scanned images as required.
Use the Toolbar to rotate or zoom in/out, or drag the images to adjust their positions.

Select the Adjust cropping frames checkbox to specify the area to be saved.
- To scan an item again, select the image in the Preview area or the thumbnail at the top of the screen, then click (Delete). The selected image is deleted, allowing you to scan the item again.

Click Save.
The combined image is saved.
