Using the Contrast Reproduction Function

  • The contrast reproduction function requires a large amount of memory for its process. For optimal use, we recommend that you use the function on a computer with 16 GB or more of memory. At the least, use it on a computer with 8 GB or more of memory.

    • If it is used on a computer with 16 GB or less of memory, the computer may run slow due to memory shortage. To prevent memory shortage, consider taking the following actions.

      • If unnecessary applications are running, close them.
      • Do not print multiple items at one time; print one sheet at a time.

Even if the above actions are taken, the computer may run slow depending on the environment. In that case, reducing the print paper size may improve the situation.

  • The contrast reproduction function prevents degradation of sharpness in the details when printing. Therefore, the effect may not be obvious depending on the subject.
