Adjusting Margins and Slot Sizes

Adjust the print position and image sizes by adjusting margins and slot sizes.

Adjustable properties vary by layout.

Single Multiple
  • A: Position (top/left)
  • A+B: Margin (top/bottom/left/right)
  • C: Slot size (height/width)

Important

  • Set Layout Mode and paper before adjusting margins. If you change Layout Mode or paper after setting margins, the settings return to the default.

Single Image Printing

Set the margin values and slot size for single image printing.

  1. In the Stored Settings area, select Single Image for Layout Mode.

  2. In Layout on the General Settings tab, set the slot size and margins.

    Select Image Slot Position/Size or Image Slot Position/Margin for Image Slot Position/Margin.

    Image Slot Position/Size

    In Position, set the slot position by moving the sliders for top and left or by entering the values directly. The position can be set while maintaining the slot size.

    In Size, set the slot size by moving the sliders for height and width or by entering the values directly.

    Set the margin values by moving the sliders for top, bottom, left, and right or by entering the values directly. The slot size is enlarged or reduced according to the margin values.

    Note

    • Alternatively, to change the position and size of the slot, drag the red frame (slot) in preview.
    • The available range of margin values varies depending on the selected media type and paper size.
    • To apply the specified settings to all pages, select the Apply to All Pages checkbox.
    • To turn the margins black, select the Print the margins in black checkbox. Margins may not be printed black up to the edges of the paper depending on the selected media type.

Multiple Image Printing

Set the position and size of the slot for multiple image printing.

  1. In the Stored Settings area, select Multiple Images for Layout Mode.

  2. In Layout on the General Settings tab, set the position and size of the slot in Set Slot Position and Specify Slot Size.

    Set the position and size of the slot by moving the sliders or by entering the values directly.

    Note

    • Alternatively, to change the position and size of the slot, drag the red frame (slot) in preview.
    • To apply the specified setting to the size of all slots within the page, select the Apply To All Image Slots checkbox.
    • To turn the margins black, select the Print the margins in black checkbox. Margins may not be printed black up to the edges of the paper depending on the selected media type.
