Clear Coating Print
Clear Coating Print is a function that adjusts glossiness by applying the Chroma Optimizer (CO) ink to the printed surface.
When Clear Coating Print is performed, surface irregularities due to pigment ink use will be evened and glossiness variation will be reduced. This prevents unnecessary light reflection, improving the intensity of the printed material.
With the Clear Coating Print function of Professional Print & Layout, you can specify the area to which the Chroma Optimizer (CO) ink is applied.
Note
- This function is available on the printers that support the Chroma Optimizer (CO) ink.
- This function is available only when the selected media type is glossy paper.

Note
When the Clear coat the entire page checkbox is not selected, the ink is not applied to the white areas in the image as well; therefore, areas with and without the Chroma Optimizer (CO) ink applied will coexist in the image, which may cause awkwardness. In that case, it is recommended that you apply the Chroma Optimizer (CO) ink to the entire print area.
