Fill Dialog Box

Change the color of a specified area of an object or image.

Display the Fill dialog box by one of the following operations.

  • Click Edit in the task area, click Photos, select the image you want to edit (such as a photo) on the poster, click (Retouch Image) in Edit Image, and then click (Fill) in the displayed Retouch Image dialog box.
  • Right-click the image you want to edit (such as a photo) on the poster, and then click Retouch Image... > Fill.
  • Click Edit in the task area, click Clipart, select the clipart you want to edit on the poster, and then click Convert to bitmap and edit....
  • Right-click the clipart you want to edit on the poster, and then click Retouch Image....
(Zoom In / Zoom Out)
Click (Zoom In) or (Zoom Out) to enlarge or reduce the display size. You can also enlarge or reduce the display size by specifying the scale.
Select color

Displays the current object or image color and basic colors. To use other colors, click Custom..., and then select a color in the displayed dialog box.

Regular color
Displays the current color or basic colors in the four-color palette.
Spot color

Displays available fluorescent colors in the four-color palette.

Important

  • Fluorescent spot colors cannot be used depending on your model or paper type.
  • Fluorescent spot colors cannot be used when the Edit layout with Free Layout plus checkbox is selected in the Paper Options screen.
Edit Palette...

Click to display the Edit Spot Color Palette dialog box for editing the colors that appear in the palette.

Select the four colors you want to display in the Spot color palette.
Select the color you want to edit in the palette under Current settings, and then select the color you want to display in the palette from Fluorescent spot color.

Note

  • The four colors that appear in the Spot color palette are retained on the printer.
Area selection mode
(Auto Select Based on Clicked Color)

Change the color by automatically selecting an area whose color is similar to the color specified on the image.

In Tolerance, increase the value to change a larger area and decrease the value to narrow the area.

(Select Area Manually)

Change the color of the area you outline freehand or by drawing a polygon.

Select Freehand or Shape in Mode, and then outline the area whose color you want to change.

Drag on the image to outline the area, or click to specify the vertices of the polygon and double-click when you have finished drawing.

Undo
Undoes the last operation.
Redo
Redoes the last undone correction.
Reset
Restores the original state (the state before changing the colors).
