Adjusting Designs
Use the Design Assist and Quick Exchange functions to produce even higher quality designs from a created design.
Design Assist (Rearranging Objects)
Design Assist is a function to adjust poster layouts by automatically rearranging objects in the selected area.
From created design patterns, select the one you like.

On the toolbar, click (Design Assist Area Set Mode).
Design Assist Area Set mode is activated.

Click and drag to select the area you want to change.
A selection box (framed in orange) appears around each object in the dragged area.

The number of objects that can be selected at one time is as follows.
- A total of eight photos and clipart items
- Four text items

Click Generate Design displayed in the lower right of the selected area.
Designs are created automatically and their thumbnails appear.
Note
- The number of designs created varies depending on the size of the selected area and the number of objects.
- Changing the order of thumbnails in Photos/Clipart by dragging and dropping them recreates the design. To select multiple files and change the order, hold down the Ctrl or Shift key as you click the thumbnails.
- Add designs to the temporary tray when you are not sure which design to use. Click Add to Temporary Tray to use them as replacements even after ending Design Assist.

Select your favorite design, and then click OK.
The selected design appears in the poster design area.

- Use the Design Check function to automatically check the font, superimposed objects, etc. for created posters. For details, see Performing a Design Check.

Quick Exchange (Swapping Objects)
Quick Exchange is a function for easily swapping the positions of objects.
This function is useful when you want to create an improved poster design from a created design.

On the toolbar, click (Quick Exchange).
Quick Exchange mode is activated.

Select one or more objects.
A selection box (framed in orange) appears around the selected object.

Move the pointer inside the selection box, and then use (Hand Tool) on the toolbar to drag the object over the object you want to swap positions with.
The objects are swapped.
Important
- When the (Hand and Arrow) pointer is displayed, the object can be swapped with the one below the pointer.
- When the (Hand and X) pointer is displayed, the object cannot be swapped with the one below the pointer.
Note
- To move an object vertically or horizontally, drag it while holding down the Shift key.

When finished swapping, click (Quick Exchange) again on the toolbar.
Quick Exchange mode is canceled.
