Saving as poster files

Posters are normally saved as files exclusively for use with PosterArtist, with a ".cpfx2" file extension.

1. In the File menu, select Save (or Save As).
The Save As dialog box is displayed.
After the first time you select Save, the existing poster will be overwritten with the new version you are saving.

2. Specify the save location.

3. In File name, enter the file name.

4. Click Save.
The Save As dialog box is closed, and the poster you created is saved as a file exclusively for use with PosterArtist, with a ".cpfx2" file extension.
When photos, clipart, etc. are in temporary tray, they are saved with the poster.

Regular poster files have a ".cpfx2" extension. Open these files from Open Poster in the File menu.

Export files have a ".cptx" extension. Open these files from Import in the File menu.

Templates in temporary tray are not saved with the poster.

Files saved in PosterArtist version 3.0 or later cannot be opened in earlier versions of PosterArtist.

When a poster is saved as a CPFX2 format (.cpfx2), a jpg file for the thumbnail, a folder containing retouch image information files, and other files are also saved in the same location along with the cpfx2 file. When you move, copy, or delete the cpfx2 file, make sure that you also move, copy, or delete these files and folders along with the cpfx2 file.
