Printing from a Smartphone
If the printer cannot be found from a smartphone app, check the following.
Checking the Status of Your Smartphone and Printer

Check the models compatible with the app.

Turn on the printer.

Check that the smartphone and printer are connected.
If not connected, follow the procedure below to connect the smartphone and printer.

Check that access to the local network has been granted.
If you are using iOS 14 or later, open your smartphone/tablet's settings, select Privacy > Local Network, and check that local network access is granted to this app.
Connecting the Smartphone and Printer

Prepare the smartphone and printer for connection.
For details, refer to Setup Guide.
Once the preparation is complete, proceed to Step 2.

Download Canon PRINT.

Once the download is complete, proceed to Step 3 without starting the app.

Change the smartphone's Wi-Fi setting to connect to a network name (SSID) starting with "Canon_ij_."

Start Canon PRINT.
Follow the instructions to complete the setup.
Once the setup is complete, proceed to Step 5.

Exit Canon PRINT.
Check that the smartphone and printer are connected.

Return to the app you want to use.
