Inserting Images
In the Item edit screen, you can insert images in the Materials area, images saved on a computer, or scanned images into your items.

- This function may not be available when PREMIUM Contents are used.

- Collage editing is used as an example in the following descriptions. Available settings may vary depending on what you create.
Inserting Images from the Materials Area
You can insert images in the Materials area into the layout frames of your item or replace images.

In the Item edit screen, select an image in the Materials area.
Note
- To add an image to the Materials area, select it in the Open dialog box displayed by clicking Add Image at the bottom of the screen. You can also add an image by selecting the thumbnail in any view, then dragging and dropping it to the title in Global Menu on the left side of the screen.

Drag and drop it to a layout frame of your item.
When you move an image to a layout frame, an arrow icon appears on the image.
Inserting Images Saved on a Computer
You can insert images saved on a computer into the layout frames of your item or replace images.

In the Edit area of the Item edit screen, right-click an image, a layout frame, or the background, then click Insert/Replace Image from the displayed menu.
The Open dialog box appears.

- To insert an image saved on a computer into the background, place a checkmark beside Photo in the Select Background dialog box.

Select the image you want to add.
The image is inserted to the layout frame or the background of the item, and is added to the Materials area.
Note
- You can also insert an image by dragging and dropping it from the folder containing the image you want to use to the target location in the Edit area of the Item edit screen.
Scanning and Inserting Images
You can scan and insert your favorite photos, etc. into your items. You can scan with simple steps or by using ScanGear (scanner driver).
Note
- The displayed screen varies depending on your model.

Place the item on the platen or ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

In the Edit area of the Item edit screen, right-click an image, a layout frame, or the background, then select Use Scanned Image from the displayed menu.
Note
- To insert a scanned image into the background, place a checkmark beside Photo in the Select Background dialog box.

From the Use Scanned Image menu, click Scan via Driver or Auto Scan.
When Scan via Driver is selected:
The ScanGear screen appears. You can scan in the mode you want to use.

When Auto Scan is selected:
Scanning starts. Items are detected automatically.

- To specify the scan/save settings, click Scan Settings... from the Use Scanned Image menu. For details, see the "Settings (ScanGear) Dialog Box" or "Settings (Auto Scan) Dialog Box" page by searching for it from the top page of the Online Manual for your model.
