Print Black and White Photos with Only Gray Ink and Black Ink

Add black and white specialty paper to print exquisite black and white photos. Normally, a small amount of color ink is used for subtle color adjustments. However, by printing with only gray ink and black ink, you can achieve a slightly different tone for your black and white photos. This is recommended for users who are concerned about the use of color ink in black and white photo printing.

  • Photo paper or fine art paper

Preparation

Add black and white specialty paper to Media Type

  1. Use Media Configuration Tool to add a new media type.

  2. Select Update Media Information from the Maintenance tab to update the printer driver's paper information.

    Select black and white specialty paper for Media Type.

    Set Color Mode to Black and White Photo, and then print.
