Note
Buttons available depending on the operation will be displayed on the operation panel. When specifying the number of copies for photo printing or coping, or selecting options in the print settings screen, the select/set buttons will be displayed as shown in (A). When entering fax/telephone numbers for dialing or entering characters/numbers in user information, the Numeric buttons are displayed as shown in (B). You can use only the buttons displayed. |
(1) ON button
Turns the power on or off. Before turning on the power, make sure that the document cover is closed.

(2) COPY button
Switches the machine to the copy mode, which lets you make copies while changing magnification, copy layout, etc.
(3) FAX button
Switches the machine to the fax mode, which lets you send faxes, print received faxes, and print reports.
(4) LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)
Displays messages, menu items, and the operational status. You can also preview photos on a USB flash drive before printing.
Confirming that the Power Is On
(5) Redial/Pause button
Displays the list of numbers dialed with the Numeric buttons to redial the selected number. You can also use this button to enter pause time between or after numbers when dialing for example international calls.
(6) Stop button
Cancels operation when print, copy, scan, or fax transmission/reception job is in progress.
(7) Alarm lamp
Lights or flashes orange when an error occurs, such as paper-out or ink-out.
(8) Black button
Starts black & white copying, scanning, faxing, etc.
(9) Color button
Starts color printing, copying, scanning, faxing, etc.
(10) Coded Dial button
Displays the coded speed dial list or telephone number search list on the coded speed dial screen. You can dial a recipient from the list.
(11) Hook button
Enables you to dial using the Numeric buttons on the machine without picking up the handset. This button is also used when using an information service, etc.
(12) Function buttons
Used to select a function menu displayed at the bottom of the LCD.
(13) MENU button
Displays the menu which provides access to photo print or various copy functions. With this menu, you can perform machine maintenance and change machine settings.

You can also configure a wireless LAN connection.
(14) SCAN button
Switches the machine to the scan mode. You can save/forward scanned data to your computer or save them on a USB flash drive, with the operation panel.
(15) FAX Memory lamp
Lights when there are received or unsent documents stored in the machine's memory.
(16) + - buttons
Specifies the number of copies to copy or print. Holding down a button moves forward or backward through the photo display, or increases or decreases the number of copies in units of 10.
(17) Back button
Returns the LCD to the previous screen.
(18) OK button
Finalizes the selection of a menu or setting item.
Resolves an error when printing is in progress, resumes the machine's normal operation after removing jammed paper, or ejects documents remaining in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).
(19) , , , and buttons
Used to select a menu or setting item, and also used to enter characters.
(20) Tone button
Switches to tone dialing temporarily if your machine is connected to a rotary pulse line and changes the input mode for entering characters. This button is also used to dial with the Numeric buttons.
(21) Numeric buttons
Used to enter fax/telephone numbers and characters.
Note
The machine makes the beep sound when pressing buttons on the operation panel. The sound volume can be adjusted in Sound control of Device user settings. |
