Color Matching Paper Settings List for Canon iPF Series

You can adjust the color of printouts to more closely match the color of the target model.

Note

  • The paper was not registered to the printer at factory shipment.

    Add the paper to the printer by using Media Configuration Tool.

  • Printer Driver Settings for Windows

    Set each item in the [Main] sheet as shown below.

    • [Media Type]

      Refer to the list above and select the paper that matches the target model.

      Use the operation panel to make the settings on the printer as well.

      Select [Easy Settings] when using registered settings.

      Select [Advanced Settings] for more detailed settings.

    • [Easy Settings]
      • [Print Target]

        Select one of the following:

        • [Default Settings]
        • [Photo (Color)]
        • [Poster]
    • [Advanced Settings]
      • [Color Mode]: [Color]

        Click [Color Settings...] to display the [Color Settings] dialog box.

        Click the [Matching] tab.

        • [Color Correction]: [Driver Matching]
        • [Rendering Intent]

          Select one of the following:

          • [Perceptual (Photo)]
          • [Perceptual]
          • [Saturation (Poster)]
          • [Saturation]

    Note

    • The color of printouts cannot be adjusted to more closely match the color of the target model if settings other than these are used for printing.
    • The color of printouts cannot be made to perfectly match the color of the target model.
  • Printer Driver Settings for macOS

    Set each item in the [Quality & Media] dialog as shown below.

    • [Media Type]

      Refer to the list above and select the paper that matches the target model.

      Use the operation panel to make the settings on the printer as well.

    • [Rendering Intent]

      Select one of the following:

      • [Rendering Intent]: [Perceptual (Photo)]
      • [Rendering Intent]: [Saturation (Poster)]

    Note

    • The color of printouts cannot be adjusted to more closely match the color of the target model if settings other than these are used for printing.
    • The color of printouts cannot be made to perfectly match the color of the target model.
