Checking Ink Status on the Touch Screen

  • If one or more ink colors runs out, Estimated ink levels changes to Ink low in the HOME screen. When Ink low appears, check which ink (or inks) has run out using the following procedure.

  1. Make sure the machine is on, and display the HOME screen.

    If the HOME screen is not displayed, press the HOME button to display it.

  2. Tap Estimated ink levels on the HOME screen.

    A symbol appears in area A in case of any messages about the remaining ink level.

    Example: Ink low mark

    Ink tank is running low. Prepare a new ink tank.

    Note

    • Ink levels on this screen are estimates.
    • You can also display the Current estimated ink levels screen by tapping Setup on the HOME screen and selecting Estimated ink levels in the setup menu.
    • To check the ink tank model number, display the Ink number screen by tapping Ink number. Tapping Print no. on this screen enables you to print the ink tank model number. Tapping Order ink now displays the QR code for accessing the ink order site. Cost of connecting to Internet is to be born by the customer.
    • Ink status can also be checked from the touch screen during printing.

    • You can also check ink status from a computer.
