Introduction
This guide describes network security settings mainly for Canon inkjet printers (GX series). Refer to items as required for your particular purpose.
Effective and continued measures are a necessity for alleviating the different risks that exist when using a printer, such as leakage of personal information and unauthorized external access. To ensure the printer can be used as securely as possible, an administrator should make settings that are important to printer use, including access privileges and security.
This guide is a common manual for the GX series of Canon inkjet printers. The models covered are given below. This guide explains the settings that use tools. For the operation of the main unit, only the minimum information is described with reference to the GX2000 series. Depending on the specifications of the product you are using, some of the features described may not apply.
