Other printer settings

Select this setting item from Printer settings in (Setup).

  • Date/time settings

    Sets the current date and time.

  • Date display format

    Selects the date display format.

  • Daylight saving time setting

    Enables/disables the summer time setting. If you select ON, you can select additional sub-settings. This setting may not be available depending on the country or region.

    • Start date/time

      Sets the date and time that summer time starts.

      Month: Specify the month.

      Week: Specify the week.

      DOW: Specify the day of the week.

      The screen to set the shift time to start summer time will be displayed after specifying the items above and selecting OK.

      After specifying the shift time and selecting OK, you can specify the end date/time.

    • End date/time

      Sets the date and time that summer time ends.

      Month: Specify the month.

      Week: Specify the week.

      DOW: Specify the day of the week.

      The screen to set the shift time to end summer time will be displayed after specifying the items above and selecting OK.

      Specify the shift time and select OK.

  • Sound control

    Selects the volume.

    • Keypad volume

      Selects the beep volume when pressing the touch screen or the buttons on the operation panel.

    • Alarm volume

      Selects the alarm volume.

    • Line monitor volume

      Selects the line monitor volume.

    • Offhook alarm

      Selects the alarm volume when the phone receiver is not put on the hook properly.

  • Country or region

    Selects the country or region where you are using the printer.

    Note

    • This setting may not be available depending on the country or region.
  • Original removal reminder

    Selects whether the printer will display the reminder screen in case you forget to remove the original from the platen after scanning.

    Important

    • Depending on the type of original or the state of the document cover, forgetting to remove the original may not be detected.

  • Wi-Fi pairing settings

    In order to connect Canon PRINT, multiple configurations will be performed.

    • Enable/disable pairing

      Set the printer's Wi-Fi pairing function to enable or disable.

    • Allow/block additional pairing

      On another function permit or prohibit Canon PRINT pairing.

    • Delete paired devices

      Cancel all Canon PRINT pairing.

  • Keyboard settings

    Select the keyboard layout from the following three types.

    • QWERTY

    • QWERTZ

    • AZERTY

  • Ink level monitor

    • Reset ink level count

      Resets the remaining ink count.

      Important

      • After refilling the ink to the upper limit line of the ink tank, reset the remaining ink count.

      • If the remaining ink count is reset when the ink tank is not full, the remaining ink level cannot be detected properly.

    • Remaining ink level notification

      Enables or disables the function which notifies the remaining ink.

      Important

      • If the remaining ink level notification function is disabled, visually inspect the remaining ink and refill the ink tanks as necessary. Continuing printing with ink below the lower limit line of an ink tank may prevent satisfactory print quality.

      • When changing the remaining ink level notification function from disabled to enabled, it is necessary to refill all ink tanks up to the upper limit line.

  • Fixed print quality

    Specifies print quality when printing on plain paper.

  • External server connection

    • Start external server connection

      Start external server connection.

    • Check ext. server connection

      Check external server connection.

    • Enable/disable screen lock

      Enable/disable screen lock when connected to an external server.

  • Notification settings

    All notification screens are not displayed if you select OFF.
