FINE Cartridge is Not Installed (168A)

Cause

The 168A support code signifies that possible causes include the following.

  • The ink cartridge is not installed or may not be installed properly.
  • The installed ink cartridge is not compatible with this printer.

What to Do

If you intend to PRINT or COPY, install the appropriate ink cartridges properly.

If the ink cartridges are already installed, remove the ink cartridges in accordance with the procedures set forth in the manual, make sure that the ink cartridges are compatible with this printer.

Then install the ink cartridges again.
