Cause

Cannot communicate. Possible causes include the following.

  • The printer is not connected to the network.
  • The subscription service contract is not active.

Important

  • You cannot use the printer unless your subscription service contract is valid.

What to Do

Select OK on the printer's touch screen to cancel the error and take the corresponding actions below.

  1. Check 1 Is the printer connected to the network?

    Refer to the following page and connect the printer to the network (wireless router).

  2. Check 2 Is your subscription service registration active?

    Check the status of your subscription from the Canon homepage.
