Canon Print Assistant System Requirements and Usage Conditions

Check your environment first

Before getting started, check your system environment. Canon Print Assistant will be automatically downloaded from the Microsoft Store if the following system requirements and usage conditions are met:

  • System Requirements
    • Windows 11 version 24H2 or later
    • x64 or Arm64 processor (Arm64 in S mode is not supported)
  • Usage Conditions
    • Your printer must be compatible with Canon Print Assistant
    • The Canon IJ printer driver for your printer must not be installed
    • Mopria® settings enabled on your printer
    • Internet connectivity
    • No restrictions on accessing the Microsoft Store
    • No restrictions on accessing Windows Update
    • For LAN connection: Your printer must be added via Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Printers & scanners -> Add a device in Windows
    • For USB connection: The computer and printer must be connected with a USB cable

How to check if the Canon IJ printer driver Is Installed

Go to Settings -> Apps -> Installed apps in Windows.
If the Canon IJ printer driver is installed, "Canon XXX Driver/MP Drivers" ("XXX" represents your printer model) will appear in the app list.
